By air
- By AIRLINK (https://www.flyairlink.com) from Johannesburg. You arrive at Richards Bay airport (RCB) 78 kms from St Lucia. Most car-rental companies are represented, or a shuttle service is available on request.
- All other domestic flights fly to Durban (DUR) and are accessible from most domestic airports in South Africa.
By road:
From Durban (DUR) - ( ± 245kms / 2½h drive )
- Take the N2 North; you have the option of the toll road or the alternate route via Stanger.
- 40 kms after the turn off to Richards Bay, turn right to Mtubatuba.
- Once arrived in Mtubatuba turn left then 2nd right to St Lucia(R618 +- 26 kms)
- Once arrived in St Lucia, just after the bridge you will arrive at a roundabout. Go to the right, followed by the first street on the left. You are now in Katonkel Street. Kwalucia is on the left side of the street. It’s the house with wooden garage doors
From Johannesburg (JHB) - ( ± 640kms / 6½h drive )
- Take the N17 via Springs to Ermelo.
- From Ermelo take the N2 and past Piet Retief, Pongola, Mkhuze and Hluhluwe.
- Continue south along the N2 and approximately 45km after the Hluhluwe crossing take the exit to St Lucia. On the bridge turn to the left.
- You are now on the R618. Continue straight for 2.5kms. And then turn left (still following the R618) direction St. Lucia. St. Lucia is at approximately 26kms.
- Once arrived in St Lucia, just after the bridge you will arrive at a roundabout. Go to the right, followed by the first street on the left. You are now in Katonkel Street. Kwalucia is on the left side of the street. It’s the house with 4 wooden garage doors
